Hosokawa - Vrieco-Nauta CT Dryer
The Vrieco-Nauta CT dryer is a central ribbon dryer. The central tapered screw of the CT-dryer ensures constant motion and mixing of powder along the heated wall of the vessel. When compared to other dryers and in most cases, this doubles the heat transfer rate. The tapered screw design provides an average of 15% lower head space and a reduction of dead volume by 50%.
By nature the CT-dryer excels in applications where the last bit of (bound)moisture needs to be removed. The combination of vacuum and excellent mixing will generally reduce cylce times by up to 60% of conventional drying times.
