The Capsule Visual Inspection System (CVIS-SXX-E), incorporating cutting-edge image processing technology as well as high-speed transportation technology, enables highly accurate and high-speed appearance inspection of pharmaceutical capsules. Based on the key technologies employed by the Tablet Visual Inspection System, which is the best selling system among our product lines, the CVIS-SXX-E incorporates lighting units and inspection algorithms to detect shape-related defects specific to capsules, allowing for consistent, high-level inspection.

Features of the System
- Highly Accurate Inspection
The lighting system suitable for detection of three-dimensional defects (dents, splits etc.) specific to capsules and the high-resolution CCD line sensor camera enable highly accurate and reproducible inspection: foreign particles equivalent to a 100
square black speck can be detected.
- Enhanced Validation Function
In addition to the high quality self-diagnosis functions, security control capability has been improved specifically for the management of condition settings of the system. In the initial test mode and inspection mode, information is displayed for easy monitoring of operating status of the system.
- Applicability to Different Types of Capsules
Not only unicolor but also bicolor capsules with different intensity bodies and caps can be inspected. Defects related to printed marks can also be detected.
- Provision of Quality Control Data
Inspection results including the number of defective capsules by defective factor and defective rate can be printed out on A4 size paper. This data can be effectively utilized for quality control.
- Stable Transfer
The well-established suction belt conveyor system (patented both domestically and overseas) enables stable and high-speed transfer of capsules.
- Improved Information Processing Function
The panel computer with an easy-on-the-eyes large screen makes input/output operations easy and simple. Inspection results can be monitored in real time. Use of the handy terminal makes setting of inspection sensitivity and selection of the monitor easy. The CVIS-SXX includes hardware necessary for communication with an external computer.
- Reliable and Easy Condition Settings
Inspection conditions can be registered by users in advance: the conditions are automatically set when a capsule code is selected.
