Conical Dryer
The IKA Conical Drier type CD is designed for effective drying of all types of solids.
The jacketed vessel wall and cover of the Conical Drier can be heated, as can the double strat spiral agitator. This results in an efficient energy input into the product while maintaining a uniform humidity and temperature distribution within the whole production area.
Bulk material is effectively dried at temperature up to 200o C under vacuum. The resulting solvent vapours are extracted by a reversible flow dust filter. The speed of the agitator, over-monuted in the cover, is infinitely adjustable.
Having a lump breaker at the discharge valve even difficult solids can be efficiently discharged.
Optionally the Conical Drier can be equipped with CIP-nozzles and/or load cells.
If required IKA can also supply complete peripheral equipment for their Conical Drier, such as solids feeders, filling equipment, heating/cooling systems, vacuum systems with solvent condensation and fully automatic electric control.
The IKA Conical Dryers type CD are available in 8 sizes from 25 to 4000 ltrs. useful volume
