Instead of transporting in bags or silos, a huge amount of bulk materials is nowadays increasingly transported in medium-sized containers, such as Big bags, octabins, FIBCs, Gaylord boxes etc. However, when emptying the containers, conveying operation is more difficult than estimated. When emptying by means of conventional suction nozzles or of tilting or turnabout of the full containers, the evacuating is very laborious and not yielding a result as expected. Moreover than 10 years, the emptying problem is solved with HELIOS by means of discharging from top of the container with help of sophisticated OKTOMAT system.
